Suggestion: We should have bags to put our books in.
Response: While we would love to do everything we can for our students, unfortunately our budget only goes so far, and we are not budgeted for bags to give away. The campus bookstore has a wide variety of bags available for purchase.
Suggestion: Please acquire (insert book title here) for the collection.
Response: We love to hear our students' suggestions and do our best to try to accommodate them within the confines of our budget and the needs of our program areas. Your suggestion will be seriously considered, and if we can't get it this year, we'll try again next year!
Suggestion: The LRC computers are too slow. Please get new ones.
Response: We are sorry you are having trouble using our Learning Commons computers. GPTC's Office of Information Technology works diligently to make sure they work as well as possible. If you have an issue with the computer you are currently using, please let our reference librarian know. If we can't help you solve your problem, we will e-mail a tech support request to the help desk.
Suggestion: Please give us the user ID and password for the Lexis Nexis (or other) database.
Response: Most of our databases, including Lexis Nexis, are provided for technical college students through GALILEO by the Technical College System of Georgia. To access our GALILEO databases, you should go through the GALILEO website at galileo.usg.edu. Do not go directly to the database's commercial website. If you are off-campus, the only password you will need is the GALILEO password, You can get the GALILEO password by accessing your library record. If you need more help, feel free to contact us!
Suggestion: I found some broken links on one of your subject guides. Please fix them.
Response: Thanks for letting us know! We are working on fixing them now. We always want to know when our guides can be improved, so please feel free to continue telling us about any errors you may find.
