Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ): Under the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, AHRQ works towards "Improving the Quality, Safety, Efficiency, and Effectiveness of Health Care For All Americans."
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) - ICD-10: Stay up-to-date on ICD-10 with this CMS website that indicates "The transition to ICD-10 is required for everyone covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA). Please note, the change to ICD-10 does not affect CPT coding for outpatient procedures and physician services."
Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM): "CAHIIM is an independent accrediting organization whose Mission is to serve the public interest by establishing and enforcing quality Accreditation Standards for Health Informatics and Health Information Management (HIM) educational programs."
The Joint Commission: "The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 20,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards."
